Jurrasic Journey is open to the public daily 11am-7pm, with a later finishing time of 10pm on a wednesday.

We spend around an hour and a half here.

At Jurrasic Journey there were some animatronic dinosaurs and fossils to see, a fossil dig area where children are allowed to take 3 fossils they find home with them and a colouring room. The boys were also given a activity booklet which included a stamp trail and letter trail throughout the attraction.

Our favourite section was the fossil digging area. There was a large sand pit with large dinosaur fossils for them to dig around and clean up. Tools were provided and they had a large chest where these were stored. There was also a fossil search area where the children stood at the edge leaning over to dig and search for fossils. Out of the fossils they found, they were allowed to keep 3 each to bring home with them.

There is no  allocated parking, but there are plenty of pay and display car parks around. We parked in the royal assembly rooms car park for £8 which was for all day parking.

While at the Jurrasic Journey, there was no where to purchase food at the attraction apart from the odd vending machine, however there was a seating area in the fossil digging room to have a picnic. There are also plenty of food stalls, pubs and cafes near to the attraction.

When we visited, our eldest was 3 years old and our youngest was 22 months. We found this day out had something for everyone, however was better suited for children under 12 years old.

We found a set of toilets inside the attraction which included a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

The pathways were wide enough to fit our double pushchair and were smooth and flat, therefore we did not struggle to push the pushchair around the attraction.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. When we saw staff, they were friendly and helpful. We loved the mini trails for the children and the fossil digging area. The children loved the dinosaurs once they realised they weren't real (due to them being animatronic), however we were disappointed there was no gift shop and we found the lighting dark in sections which made it hard to stamp the dinosaur in the correct allocated space in the booklet for one of the trails, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
