West Midlands Safari Park is open to the public daily. Their opening times differ throughout the year, but typically are open between 10am-6pm.

We spent the full 6 hours that they were open there. We could have easily have spent another hour here it the park was open longer.

At West Midlands Safari Park, there was a variety of different animals to see. This included tigers, lions, meerkats, giraffes, rhinos, and many more. There was a drive through safari, walk around safari, walk through lemur enclosure, iron age and dinosaur section, a park, a few gift shops, reptile house, bat house, theme park, a restaurant and a few food huts located around the park.

Our favourite part was going through the drive through safari. We loved being able to see the animals up close and the boys were fascinated to see some of them running around.

There is plenty of parking available in a hard standing carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking was free of charge.

While at West Midlands Safari Park, you can stop for something to eat at their restaurant, food huts, or sit at one of their many picnic benches for a home packed lunch. 5 fresh doughnuts were £6.

When we visited, our eldest was almsot 4 years old and our youngest was 2 1/2 years old. We found this day out had something for everyone, no matter your age.

Throughout the park was many toilet facilities.

We found the pathways wide and mostly flat, however in the walk around section to view the cheetahs, elephants, tigers and giraffes was gravel and uphill.

Overall, we would happily drive here to visit again especially when they have a special pricing offer. We loved seeing the safari animals and the boys enjoyed the theme park and the iron age/dinosaur sections, however we felt there could have been more animals in the walk around safari and the pathways could be concreted over instead of gravel to make it easier to push pushchairs, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
