We spent just around 5 1/2 hours there. We visited during one of their event days (jousting tournament) and had access to the Stonor House and Gardens. Out of the 5 1/2 hours, we only spent 1 hour watching the tournament.
At Tumblestone Hollow there were a few park sections, a nature trail, gardens (additional charge), house (additional charge) and gift shop.
Our favourite part of Tumblestone Hollow was the large tree house styled wooden play area. We had to go on there with the boys are they were too young for some sections especially where there was a fireman’s pole or a large dropped climbing area, we didn't want to risk them trying to jump off by themselves. The play area had multiple levels and wrapped around in a semi-circle shape. We found it large enough for us to comfortably explore with the children. This is the area where we spent most of our time.
There is plenty of parking available. There is a hard surfaced carpark with disability spaces and parking in a grass field. Parking is free of charge.
While at Tumblestone Hollow there were a few places where food could be purchased, however this was by card payments only and cash was not accepted. There was a cafe inside the Stonor House and a cafe where the small gift shop is located. There are also seasonal trailers which serve burgers and pizzas. A cheeseburger was £8 and a pepperoni pizza was £13. If you wanted to bring your own lunch with you, there were some picnic benches and lots of green grass areas to put a picnic blanket down.
When we visited, our eldest was 3 years old and our youngest was 19 months old. We found this to be a fun family trip, and the play area was best suited for children 3-12 years old.
We found one block of toilets outside by the gift shop including accessibility and changing facilities. There was also a set of toilets in the play area.
The paths were bumpy and the main flooring section by the gift shop is pebbles which meant we did struggle to push our pushchair around at times. To get to the wooden play equipment, you have to go up an incline which again was not the easiest with a pushchair.
Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. When we saw staff they were friendly and were continuously walking around litter picking to keep the area clean. However, due to how difficult it was to get around in the pushchair and only being able to pay via card payment we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
