When we arrived, we were advised our tickets last all day so can leave and come back as many times as we wished.

Sea Life is open to the public 10am-5pm.

We spent around 1 hour there. We could have stayed longer if we came back to the aquarium for their feedings and talks.

This day out could be paired with Great Yarmouth Seafront Beach and the Merrivale Model Village.

At Sea Life there were many species of fish to explore, a turtle, penguins and more. While walking around there were many tanks to see including an underwater tunnel, a tank to see the penguins swim and an outdoor section to view the penguins from above. There were also chances to touch some of the animals such as an African snail and starfish. A gift shop is at this attraction, however only card payments are taken.

Our favourite part of the aquarium was the submarine. This was situated inside one of the tanks, however you could walk behind the tank and go inside the submarine.
There is no parking for this attraction, however there are plenty of pay and display carparks around. We parked at the Royal Assembly Rooms as they offered all day parking for £8.

While at the Sea Life there was a cafe in the gift shop area where food could be purchased. There were no places to sit down for a picnic.

When we visited, our eldest was 3 years old and our youngest was 21 months old. We found this to be a fun family trip.

We found one set of toilets by the cafe in the gift shop. Disabled and changing facilities were available.

We didn't take our pushchair, however the walkways seemed wide and smooth, therefore we don't feel it would have been difficult to push. However, to gain entry to the outdoor penguin viewing area, this is only accessible via stairs.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. We found Great Yarmouth Sea Life to be better value for money compared to Scarborough Sea Life. The reasons for this is because when we saw staff they were friendly and enthusiastic about their job, we loved how the aquarium was decorated (there were a few little nooks where children could climb under to keep them interested) and there were sign language demonstration signs for the animals. However, due to them not having their own car park, the only toilets being near the exit and only being able to access the outdoor penguin viewing area via stairs, we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
