Millets Farm Centre, Kingston Road, Abingdon, OX13 5HB.
Millets Farm Centre is a free attraction to visit. There are however additional charge sections throughout including the falconry area, soft play and mini golf.
Millets Farm Centre is open to the public 9am-6pm. These times may differ for the additional charged areas, restaurants and shops.
We spent around 3 1/2 hours there. This included going to their soft play. We could have spent longer here if we went to the falconry area and had a picnic.
At Millets Farm Centre there were some farm animals to view, an outdoor play park, farm shops which had many small business stalls, cafes, mini golf (additional charge of £8.50 a person, under 3s were free), gift shops, falconry area (additional charge) and a soft play which had its own play park (additional charge).
Our favourite part of Millets Farm Centre was the soft play. There was a lot of seating for adults, and they had a cafe inside. The soft play had a soft role play area for the and sensory elements (sounds and lights) were inside the bigger soft play area. Outside was also a play park and an area for the children to use tricycle style bikes. They allowed pushchairs indoors however this was at an additional charge of £1.50 per pushchair, however there was a pushchair parking area outside that was free of charge. When we visited an adults ticket was £3 and the children’s ticket was between £6.95-£12.95 depending on the child's age.
There is plenty of parking available in a few hard standing car parks. Disabled spaces were also available.
While at Millets Farm Centre there were a few places where food could be purchased. When walking past the cafe in the soft play, the prices seemed reasonable. There were also some picnic benches and grass areas around to enjoy a picnic.
When we visited, our eldest was 3 years old and our youngest was 19 months old. We found this to be a fun family trip, and we found the soft play was best suited for children 2-12 years old, however the animal areas are suitable for any age to come view.
We found quite a few blocks of toilets around including a set of toilets in the play area.
The paths were slightly bumpy, but we did not struggle to push the pushchair around.
Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. When we saw staff, they were friendly and we were impressed by how much was there to see for free. We found the soft play quite expensive for the length of time we were allowed to spend in there and thought there could have been some more animals, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
