Madame Tussauds, 89 Promenade, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY1 5AA.

When looking to visit Madame Tussauds, tickets can be purchased both online or at the attraction, however I would recommend booking in advance as on the day not prebooked tickets are not guaranteed entry. Ticket prices are also slightly cheaper going on a school day.

Ticket prices (weekend prices - these were correct as of the 13/04/2024):
Adult - £18.50
Child (Ages 2-14 years) – £16.50

Madame Tussauds is part of the Blackpool attractions where you can book more than 1 attraction online for a discounted price. We also visited The Gruffalo Clubhouse as part of this offer.

Madame Tussauds is open to the public daily:
Mid week - 11am-4pm
Weekends - 10am-4pm
However, these times can differ based on the time of year you are going so please check their website before visiting.

We spent around an hour here.

At Madame Tussauds, there were a variety of different celebrities/film stars statues to look at. This included Iron Man, Lady Gaga, Groot and many more.

Our two favourite sections were the Marvel area and the Beatles drum set.

We found the Marvel section quite interactive. You could attempt to lift Thor's hammer and take pictures with Spiderman which made it look like you were on the wall.

The Beatles drum set made our eldest so happy. He was able to sit down and play the drums.

There are plenty of parking available around the area in pay and display carparks.

While at Madame Tussauds, there is nowhere to eat at the attraction, however there are plenty of fish & chip shops around. Inside the Coronation Street section of the attraction, you can visit the Rover pub and buy a drink.

When we visited, our eldest was 2 1/2 years old and our youngest was 14 months (however he slept in the pram the whole trip). We found this day out was best suited to children over the age of 5 years old as our eldest found some of the wax statues quite scary.

There were toilets and disabled toilets available on two floors.

There was both stairs and a large lift to be able to go between the floor levels. They don't always allow pushchairs into the attraction and there is a buggy park located downstairs, however as our youngest was asleep, they gave us a pass to attach to the pushchair to show we were allowed to keep it with us during the visit to avoid waking him up.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area, but we wouldn't travel especially for it as a one off day out. When we saw staff, they were friendly and helpful, especially the lift staff. We loved how the attraction shows a variety of people, however we found certain areas became very busy and felt you were able to see everything quite quickly, therefore we have rated this day out 3 stars out of 5.
