Longleat is open to the public daily 10am-5pm during off peak times, 10am-6pm during peak times and 10am-7pm during summer and bank holidays.

We spent around 4 hours there. If bringing a lunch with you or eating at the attraction, you could easily spend at least another couple of hours there.

At Longleat, there was a variety of different animals to see. This included koalas, giant otters, crocodiles and more in their walk in safari and wolves, monkeys, tigers, lions and much more in their drive through safari. There was also a massive outdoor play park, indoor soft play for smaller children, a train ride, boat safari and a couple of gift shops.

Our two favourite areas were the boat safari and the play park.

The boat safari was where you could see and feed sea lions (additional charge for fish to feed them). The sea lions came close to the boat and you could also see over to the gorilla island.

The play area was like nothing we've seen before. It was huge! We spent a good hour of our day out here.

There is plenty of parking available in a hard surface carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking is free of charge.

While at Longleat, you can stop for something to eat at either their restaurant, coffee house, pizza piazza and seasonal kiosks. When walking past the restaurant, an adults lasagne was £11.95 and a kids lasagne was £7.95. There were also benches around to enjoy a home brought lunch.

When we visited, our eldest was 2 1/2 years old and our youngest was 12 months. We found this day out had something for everyone, no matter your age.

We found a couple of sets of toilets around the attraction which changing facilities and accessibility toilets were also available.

We found the paths quite flat and did not struggle to push the pushchair around the park. There were pushchair parking areas around the park e.g. boat safari and the train ride.

Overall, we would visit again if we used Tesco Clubcard vouchers towards it as it would bring the price of the day out down. When we saw staff, they were friendly and helpful. The land the zoo had was large and there was a variety of sections to visit, however we feel the attraction was overpriced and can get extremely busy therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
