Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2ER.

We found Great Yarmouth Beach to be a smooth sandy beach. There was quite a few pebbles around to hunt for and the beach was a long length.

To access the beach there were hard surfaced slopes.

At Great Yarmouth Beach there was no litter around apart from the odd cigarette butt.

There are plenty of pay and display car parks around. We parked at the Royal Assembly Rooms as they offered all day parking for £8.

When visiting there were lots of shops, cafes, pubs, arcades and entertainment areas such as Joyland, Brittania Pier, Sea Life and the Merrivale Model Village next to the beach.

This beach allowed dogs between October-April.

There were toilets on Great Yarmouth beach near the Ferris Wheel which were free of charge to use and there were plenty of cafes and pubs around which had toilets.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. We found the beach to be quite quiet and were amazed by how much there was to do near the beach area. There was a wooden box of beach play toys which could be borrowed and there were also donkey rides on the beach which were £4 a person up to a maximum of 8 stone in weight. However, the sand was so smooth it was not easy to build sandcastles (trips to the sea were needed to be able to add water to the sand) and we did find a few cigarette butts scattered across the beach. As a result, we have rated this beach 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
