Exmoor Zoo is open to the public daily 10am-5pm during mid February-November.

We spent around 3 hours there. If bringing a lunch with you or eating at the attraction, you could easily spend at least another hour there.

At Exmoor Zoo, there was a variety of different animals to see. This included a black panther, singing dogs, wallaby’s, howler monkeys and much more. There was also a reasonable sized play park and a gift shop.

Our favourite part was how close we were able to get to the wolves.

There is plenty of parking available in a hard surface carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking is free of charge.

While at Exmoor Zoo, you can stop for something to eat at their cafe. We ate at the attraction. A kids meal deal (both hot and cold options available) was £5.95 and a ham and cheese toastie was £7.50 which came with a side of salad and crisps on the plate. There was also a picnic area to enjoy your home brought lunch.

When we visited, our eldest was 13 months old and I was 4 months pregnant with our youngest. We found this day out had something for everyone, no matter your age.

We found two sets of toilets around the attraction, however they were both located near the top where the cafe and main entrance were. Baby changing facilities and accessibility toilets are available in the toilet block near the main entrance. These were clean when we visited them to change our eldest's outfit after an accident.

We did not find it the easiest to visit with a pushchair. The paths are mainly on a slant and at times we found it hard to walk downwards with the pushchair due to gravity pulling us down. My one-year-old wanted to walk around but really struggled due to how the paths were and he got tired a lot quicker than normal.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area, but we wouldn't travel especially for it as a one off day out. When we saw staff, they were friendly and helpful. We loved how close we could get to some of the animals and found it quite a quiet zoo compared to others visited, however due to the paths and how small the zoo was we have rated this day out 3 stars out of 5.
