The British Iron Work Centre is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday (closed Sundays and Mondays). They are open 10am-4pm Tuesday-Friday and 9am-4pm on Saturdays.
We spent around 3 1/2 hours there including eating in their cafe.
At the British Iron Work Centre, there was a variety of different metal sculptures to see. There was also a park area, a gift shop, a few small business shops and a cafe.
Our favourite part was being able to see all of the different recycled metal sculptures, including Iron Man (Marvel), Bumblebee (Transformers), Hulk (Marvel) and minions.
There is plenty of parking available in a gravel style carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking was £4 which can be paid when booking tickets online or at the entrance of the centre.

While at the British Iron Work Centre, you can stop for something to eat at their cafe (indoor and outdoor seating). We purchased a large triple chocolate cookie and 2 portions of chips which came to £13.25. You are not allowed to eat your own picnics at this attraction.

When we visited, our eldest was almost 4 years old and our youngest was 2 1/2 years old. We found this day out had something for everyone, no matter your age.
The only toilets we found at the site was near the cafe.

We found the pathways wide around the majority of the sculpture park (outside), however this was on gravel which was not the easiest at times to push a pushchair and part of the sculpture park required you to walk on the road (narrow designated walking section). Inside the shop was wide enough for our double pushchair to fit through, however there were small sections which were too narrow for us to fit through. This was a similar scenario in the cafe as the tables are so closely put together.

Overall, we would happily drive here to visit again especially as they are always creating new metal sculptures to showcase. We were amazed by how big some of them were and found the entry price reasonable. However, we felt the pathways could have been concreted over to make it more suitable for pushchair use with permanent pathways situated near the road. We also felt the indoor tables could have been spaced out more/some removed as it felt overcrowded and outdoor home picnics should be allowed, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
