We spent just over 2 hours there which included lunch.
At the Army Flying Museum, there was a variety of different planes and helicopters to view. There was an indoor soft play, outside playpark which was shaped as large army vehicles and a gift shop.
Our favourite part was being able to go in some of the helicopters.
There is plenty of parking available in a hard standing carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking is free of charge.
While at the Army Flying Museum, you can stop for something to eat at their cafe. On our second trip here we decided to eat in the cafe which their jacket potatoes with one filling was £7.95 and their children's lunchboxes which included a sandwich, packet of crisps, a yogurt and a biscuit or piece of fruit was £7.50. There was a large grass area by the carpark to enjoy a home brought lunch.
When we visited, our eldest was almost 3 years old and our youngest was 16 months old. We found this day out had something for everyone, no matter your age.
We found 2 blocks of toilets, which changing facilities and accessibility toilets were also available. I also noticed in the downstairs toilets there was a sign in the bathroom stating if you needed a nappy or sanitary product, you can request this from the front desk.
We found the attraction ground flat and did not struggle to push the pushchair around. There were both stairs and lifts to gain access to the second floor.
Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. When we saw staff, they were friendly and helpful. The museum was extremely educational and we loved how unusual the outdoor play park was, however we felt the indoor soft play could haven been slightly bigger as it become overcrowded in there quite quickly once more children started to arrive, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
