We spent just over 3 hours there.

At Trentham Monkey Forest, there are 140 Barbary Macaques. There were two outdoor play areas, a small willow maze, a meadow walk, two information rooms which included monkey skeletons and a gift shop.

Our favourite area was the monkey forest walk. We went into this area twice as you can come and go as many times as you wish throughout the day. Our longest time spent in there was 40 minutes. There are hourly feeding talks and a lovely nature walk around the forest. Part of the walk was up hill and there is a sign saying this section of the path is not wheelchair friendly. We were able to push the pushchair up the hill. We saw a mixture of adult, baby and elder monkeys. They had free range of the area and were able to walk close by to us.

There is plenty of parking available in a hard surface carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking is free of charge.

While at Trentham Monkey Forest, you can stop for something to eat at their banana cafe. There were outdoor picnic benches to also enjoy a home brought lunch. While there we purchased two children’s lunchboxes (crisps, yogurt, drink and a ham or cheese roll), two muffins, one chocolate cake, a cheese sandwich, a bottled drink and a jacket potato with cheese and beans which came to £34.40. The muffins were really good however the children's rolls were quite dry.

When we visited, our eldest was 3 years old and our youngest was almost 19 months. We found this to be a fun family day out. It had something for everyone to enjoy.

We found one block of toilets around the attraction which changing facilities were in. Accessibility toilets were also available. These toilets were located by the cafe. These were clean and had many cubicles.

There were hard sand styled paths however we did not struggle to push our pushchair around.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. When we saw staff they were friendly. The land the attraction had was quite large and they filled this with a few nature areas, parks and the monkeys had free roam of their area. We felt the food was quite pricey for the quality where the rolls were dry and we felt there could have been more in the information centres, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
