Diggerland is open 10am-5pm during school holidays and most weekends throughout the year, however they tend to be closed during winter months. Due to their opening days, please check their website before visiting.

We spent just over 4 hours there. If the boys were bigger we could have spent longer as there would have been more rides they could have gone on due to height restrictions.
At Diggerland, there were a variety of digger styled rides to go on, a play park with a little tikes section, a gift shop, two indoor ball pits (each for different ages) and a restaurant.

One of the boys favourite parts was going on the Skyshuttle. Both boys were tall enough to go on this ride as the minimum height was 80cm. This ride slowly lifts you up to 50ft in the air. The boys loved being able to see the attraction from so high up.

Our other favourite part was the dirt diggers. This had a minimum height restriction of 90cm, which meant only our eldest Benjamin could go on this one. He loved being able to help Chris (his dad) operate the digger to be able to dig holes in the ground.

There is plenty of parking available in a hard surface carpark. There is also disabled parking spaces available. Parking is free of charge.

While at Diggerland, you can stop for something to eat at their restaurant. We decided to eat lunch at the restaurant while we were there. A double bacon cheese burger was £6.25, chips were £3.25 and a child's chicken nuggets and chips were £4.50. There were also outdoor and indoor picnic benches near the little tikes area.

When we visited, our eldest was 3 1/2 years old and our youngest was 22 months. We found this day out was best suited to people over the height of 90cm due to height restrictions on all of the rides. Our youngest was just over 80cm, which meant he could go on 9 out of 20 rides. Our eldest was just under 100cm, which meant he could go on 15 out of 20 rides.

We found a set of toilets in the restaurant where changing facilities and accessibility toilets were also available.

We found the paths wide and smooth, which meant we did not struggle to push our pushchair around.

Overall, we would visit again once the boys were taller, especially as there aren't many places to visit where children can operate diggers. When we saw staff, they were friendly. We were disappointed with their opening hours, as generally we find weekends and school holidays are much busier at attractions compared to school term times. We also didn't like the fact there were some rides that were coin operated, especially with the entrance price being quite high to enter, therefore we have rated this day out 4 stars out of 5.
