The Box, Tavistock Place, Plymouth, Devon, PL4 8AX.

Entry in free of charge and there is no need to book in advance.

The Box is open to the public Tuesday-Sunday and selected bank holidays 10am-5pm.
We spent around 1 1/2 hours there. We could have spent longer here if we had something to eat in their cafe area.

At The Box Museum, there was a variety of displays to see. This included art, ice age, ancient egyptians and much more. There was also a small children's area which had colouring stations, a gift shop and a cafe, as well as special exhibitions which change throughout the year.

Our favourite part was seeing the wooly mammoth.

There is no parking specifically for The Box Museum, however there are many chargeable car parks near by. We parked in the Drakes Circus carpark, which was £4.30 for 2-3 hours.

While at The Box Museum, you can stop for something to eat at their cafe, or sit at one of their picnic benches for a home packed lunch outside.

When we visited, our eldest was almost 4 years old and our youngest was 2 1/2 years old. We found this day out had something for everyone, no matter your age.

We found plenty of toilets located around the museum.

We found the pathways wide and did not struggle with our double pushchair. There were lifts available to access each level.

Overall, we would visit again if we were in the area. We loved being able to see the exhibitions and the boys enjoyed seeing all the different skulls of animals. The only thing we found that let down this museum was that there was no designated carpark for them, however there were plenty of carparks located nearby and due to the museum being free to enter, we cannot knock the prices of the nearby car parks. Therefore, we have rated this day out 5 stars out of 5.
