We spent almost two hours there.
At Butterfly World and Farm Park there were a variety of animals including meerkats, otters, butterflies, turkeys, sheep and many others. You start the attraction by paying at the front desk in the gift shop, from there you go through the butterfly house, it then leads you to the indoor bird section. From this point you can then go outside to the farm and zoo areas. At the location of the Butterfly World, there is also (not included in the attraction cost) a soft play, paint your own pottery, garden centre and some small business owner shops.
Our favourite part was the butterfly house. We got to see many butterflies, of which were different sizes, fly around us. If you stayed still long enough, some were even happy to land on you.
There are plenty of parking available in a hard surface carpark. The carpark included disabled spaces, but there were no child spaces. Parking was free of charge.
While at Butterfly World and Farm Park you can get food at a cafe which is at the same location as the attraction. Prices seemed to be in line for what you would expect at an attraction. There were a few picnic benches outside the attraction to enjoy a picnic.
When we visited this attraction, our eldest was 18 months old and our youngest was just over 2 weeks old. We found this day out to be enjoyable, no matter your age.
There are two sets of toilets available which included accessibility toilets. These were located in Studley Grange, which is where the attraction is located. We found the toilets clean and well stocked with toilet roll.
We found the floor to be quite flat and did not struggle to push the pushchair around, however you need to be mindful of the butterflies as they sometimes land on the floor.
Overall, we would visit again. When we saw staff, they seemed friendly and helpful. The farm park didn't have the biggest variety of animals and except from the soft play separate from the attraction which occurs an additional fee, we felt an outdoor play park could have been added, however we really enjoyed the experience of going through the butterfly house. Therefore we have rated this day out 3 1/2 stars out of 5.
